The Asahi Shimbun translates from the website of Anime Anime Japan Ltd.; manga legend Shotaro Ishinomori’s sci-fi epic series “Cyborg 009″ will get a U.S. graphic novel adaptation next summer.

An emerging comics publisher, Archaia specializes in stories with strong narratives. It has released many hits, among them “The Killer” and “Mouse Guard.”

In its short history, Archaia has released works nominated at the prestigious Eisner Awards and won two accolades.
