Submissions
COMICS & GRAPHIC NOVELS
One of Archaia’s core missions is to constantly seek out new and exciting creator-owned projects in the adventure, fantasy, horror, pulp noir and science fiction genres that test the boundaries of the comic book medium. As Archaia does not generally put creative teams together for creator-owned titles (we do not pair writers and artists), submissions should only be for book and series proposals that have finished art pages. Archaia is primarily interested in full-color projects, but proposals for black-and-white projects will also be considered.
All submissions should be sent as either .doc or .pdf files via e-mail to: submissions@archaia.com
In your proposal, please include the following:
* A cover letter with your contact information (name, address, phone number and e-mail required) and basic introduction to you and your work. Please do not send full resumes.
* A short synopsis of the overall story, complete with descriptions of the major characters, plot developments and themes. Technical details such as intended series length and projected page counts should also be included
* Samples of completed pages from the book or first issue of a series. Archaia gives strong preference to proposals that submit a completed first issue.
* Links to ongoing webcomics are also accepted with an attached cover letter.
Archaia does not accept hard copy submissions unless submitted in person to Archaia personnel at designated events. Mailed submissions are no longer accepted.
Archaia will endeavor to give you a response to your submission as soon as possible, but please be aware it may take considerable time for that to happen. E-mail follow-up inquiries are fine, but please avoid calling to find out the status of your submission. Please be aware that physical submissions will not be returned.
