Ian Edginton
Ian Edginton – Writer, DAYS MISSING
Ian Edginton started out as press officer for a Birmingham-based environmental charity before moving on to become group editor for one of the UK’s Royal societies and later editor of several film and music magazines.
Since the mid-eighties, he has been writing comics and the occasional novel. He has worked for Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, Heavy Metal, Top Cow, IDW and Boom, amongst others. He has also worked on a diverse range of titles, from Batman and Blade, to Spider-Man, X-Men, Witchblade, Vampirella and Judge Dredd.
He is particularly well-known for his work on film and television licensed properties such as Aliens, Predator and Terminator through to Planet of the Apes, Star Wars, Star Trek, Doctor Who and Torchwood.
He has received critical acclaim for his original graphic novel Kingdom of the Wicked, in addition to his adaptation of HG Wells’ War of the Worlds and his sequels, Scarlet Traces and Scarlet Traces: The Great Game, the latter being nominated for Best Series and Best Writer in the 2007 Eisner Awards.
He is currently writing Stormwatch for WildStorm; Stickleback, The Red Seas and Ampney Crucis Investigates for 2000AD; and Aladdin for Radical Publishing. He is also working on a mammoth program adapting the entire Sherlock Holmes canon into a series of graphic novels for UK publisher Self Made Hero.
