Yann

Yann was born in Marseille in 1954. He began his career in advertising and architectural design before sinking into the world of comics with material for the student newspaper Balak Spirou in 1974. After a brief stint at Curiosity Magazine, he partnered with Conrad to create Innommables, published by Dargaud, and then Bob Marone published by Glénat. The prolific author eventually abandoned illustration (except for the occasional sketch or thumbnail) to concentrate purely on writing, and he has penned innumerable works illustrated by some of the greatest French and European artists, including Yslaire (the first episode of Sambre), Yves Barge (Freddy Lombard), Morris (Lucky Luke), René Hausman (Aire Libre) and Wozniak (Star Chasers).
