Just last week, Andy Liegl of ComicAttack.net had the chance to sit down and chat with artist Ramón Pérez on his upcoming graphic novel. The setting? None other than the Jim Henson Studio of Los Angeles, California.
Jim Henson’s A Tale of Sand is an original graphic novel based on an unproduced screenplay found in the Henson Archives. Written by Henson and Jerry Juhl in the late 1960s, the script remained in stasis until its recent discovery. Upon finding this story, it became absolutely clear that it would translate into an incredible graphic novel. With Lisa Henson’s blessing, we set off to find the right artist to bring this story to life, and Ramón Pérez (Kukuburi, ButterNutSquash, Captain America & the First Thirteen) was at the top of the list.
Pérez tells ComicAttack.net how it feels to be a part of the Jim Henson legacy and more in this exclusive interview here.
